A Little Bit About Me
Bismillah

Having just had to scroll to find my year of birth when signing up to Single Muslim, I realise that this is an avenue I should have explored a while ago.

I will endeavour to update this and write more about myself soon, but for now...

I am a British Pakistani, professional girl who is a daughter to two loving (and cuddly) parents and sister to 4 caring brothers. Although my nuclear family is relatively large(ish), my extended family is very small.

Like many others, I will also make the vague and subjective claim of having a fine balance of values.... if such a thing really exists. 

The deen of Allah (swt) and his Rasool (saw) are my framework for life and outline what I what I aspire to. At the same time, I am not a 'culture-phobe' and enjoy the finer points of Pakistani culture. E.g. biryani :D .

Being born, raised, educated and employed in this country means that I am not naiive or averse to the ways of the west.

I would hope that all girls looking for a rishta are like me and hope to better themselves with their future husband. At the moment I am praying my salah, but I know that there is room for greater consistency with this. 

I am interested in finding a husband rather than a penpal, so I would prefer family involvement after establishing a level of interest.

I hope to start wearing hijab soon and really would appreciate the support of my husband with this.
